For the sake of promoting the Chinese capital to the world prior to the Olympics and also for the benefit of Chinese that want to practise their English, then this site is only to be in English. I expect to learn a LOT about Beijing and China as well from this site and the Chinese that will participate by informing about Beijing City and also about Chinese culture and business.

Beijing literally means "northern capital".

I did not know that until today. It is also situated very far north in China. It is where the red area is on the map of China as seen above.
